Long-Term Care Education Series (Module 4)
This module on restraints can be completed by clinical staff in long-term care (registered nurses, personal support workers). This topic is related to topics listed as part of the mandatory training requirements for long-term care (LTC) homes in Ontario. The length of this module is ±30 minutes.
This module was developed by Bruyère Continuing Care’s Learning Department for LTC homes with support from the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care. The content and scenarios presented are based on Bruyère’s policies and practices but other homes are welcome to use and adapt it to fit their needs.
