Long-Term Care Education Series (Module 5)
This module on fall prevention can be completed by clinical staff in long-term care (registered nurses, personal support workers). This topic is related to topics listed as part of the mandatory training requirements for long-term care (LTC) homes in Ontario. The length of this module is ±30 minutes.
This module was developed by Bruyère Continuing Care’s Learning Department for LTC homes with support from the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in LTC. This module was created by Bruyère Continuing Care. The content and scenarios presented are based on Bruyère’s policies and practices but other homes are welcome to use and adapt it to fit their needs.
